Name: WHB Dexter’s Best of 2011 Playlist #13
Authors: Dexter
Description: End of the year again. And probably end of a WHB as “we” know it. Sad news I know but lets talk about this playlist. I have selected what I concider to be the best songs of the year 2011. Eventually not every song made it to the final cut so I made b-side to this compilation with songs from same artists or just songs that didn’t fit concept (like Fleet Foxes, Yuck, Kasabian and others). This one is not in any particular order. What more there is to say? First of all this compilation does not go well with winter. It’s more of a summer playlist.
And yeah.
Happy new year (especially) to all of our listeners, (featuring) band members and to you random reader.
Highlight:
- The Rapture - Miss You
- WhoMadeWho - Every Minute Alone
- Beady Eye - The Beat Goes On
- Hurricane Bells - Hours Like Days
- Clap Your Hands Say Yeah - Maniac

Fifty songs from folk to noise, just the best. If you haven’t heard any other of our playlists, you should start with this one. Enjoy and don’t worry (if you do). Regular autumn playlist will be out soon.

Go Sailor - The Boy Who Sailed Around the World
Name:WHB Dexter’s Festival Guide Pt.2 Playlist #11
Authors: Dexter
Description: Pohoda festival is over and only two days to Melt! And we are back with other festival guide playlist. This time it was a little bit harder ‘cos many of the bands were already on our previous playlist and I didn’t want to repeat ourselves. When I had chosen some of the songs I thought to myself “It will be a great party playlist”. But than I came across some slow folk and post-rock and I realized that this one will be good old sentimental nostalgic bullshit playlist. Just the way I like it. I hope you do too.
PS: I really wanted to end this playlist with something like Girls like you but I just had nowhere to put The Streets. They fit there quite well so take it as an (hiphop) encore.
PSS: I know Matt and Kim are no longer on the list. I just forgot.
Highlight:
- Timid Tiger - Electric Island
- Digitalism - 2 Hearts
- Noah And The Whale - Life Is Life
- The Naked And Famous - Girls Like You
- Crystal Castles - Not In Love ft. Robert Smith

Wilhelm Tell Me - Oh My God
Name:WHB Dexter’s Festival Guide Pt.1 Playlist #9
Authors: Dexter
Description: It’s festival season and we thought we won’t be able to make any playlists during the next two months. So we both made our own festival guides of bands we are looking forward to see on festivals we are attending in advance. Four playlists with twenty songs. One every two weeks.
So I’ll start. This playlist contains twenty bands (songs are mostly from newest albums) that I can’t wait to see on Pohoda and Grape festivals. Unlike usually, on this playlist you will find many diverse genres and it was almost impossible to set them in some real order. I did my best but I still feel like it wasn’t enough. I thought the main theme would be driving out, traveling, arriving but I’m not really sure what I did there. So… you know. Whatever - enjoy!
Highlight:
- FM Belfast - Underwear
- YouCoco - Afrika
- Bloodgroup - My Arms
- The Teenagers - Streets Of Paris
- We Have Band - Centerfolds & Empty Screens
